Makita LXT drills and drivers a hard to beat. I contracted for years and use to use mostly DeWalt and Bosch. Four years ago it was time to replace my Bosch 18v NiCd drill and impact. I was pretty set on just getting another Bosch kit, but found a good deal on the Makita LXT combo. With moderately hard use, it has held up without issue every since. When I found this driver on sale for $99, I just couldn't pass.

    You can buy cheap and cuss every time you use a tool but if you get the good stuff, whenever you have a honey-do, the job goes so much easier.
    I already had a Makita power driver so I went with this as I knew the quality and I already had the battery charger I needed.
    I also bought a pair of the batteries so I can tackle the big jobs with no hesitation.
